Katrina-Shahid in Prabhudheva's next?

Since there's still some time to go before Prabhu Sir starts his next (apparently titled Namak), the deal with a lead female actor is yet to be finalised. But Katrina has been in talks with producers Eros and Prabhu Sir

Even though they’ve both worked with many of the leading actors of their generation, Shahid Kapoor and Katrina Kaif have never been cast opposite each other. Now it looks like they might finally come together for Prabhudheva’s next action film.

Although Deepika Padukone’s name is also doing the rounds for the female lead insiders insist that Kat is the frontrunner.

“Since there’s still some time to go before Prabhu Sir starts his next (apparently titled Namak), the deal with a lead female actor is yet to be finalised. But Katrina has been in talks with producers Eros and Prabhu Sir,” says an insider.

When contacted, Kat said that she hasn’t signed the film yet, adding, “You know, as a policy, I’ve never spoken about the films I have been approached for. But if I am doing a movie, then by all means, you should talk about it.”

Prabhudheva, on his part, also refuses to reveal much: “I can’t confirm the (female) actor’s name right now. We are in talks with multiple ladies, so let’s see who we finally rope in. There’s still some time to go.” At this point, the Rowdy Rathore director is busy finalising the script of the film. In all probability, it will kick off only next year, after he finishes Kumar Taurani’s next that will feature the producer’s son, Girish Taurani, and actor Shruti Haasan.
